i love this shoot!the powerful use of white, almost clinical against the romantic beauty of her gown, and the metaphoric power display awesome!

I am the left brain. I am a scientist. A mathematician. I love the familiar. I categorize. I am accurate. Linear. Analytical. Strategic. I am practical. Always in control. A master of words and language. Realistic. I calculate questions and play with numbers. I am order. I am logic. I know exactly who I am.
I am the right brain. I am creativity. A free spirit. I am passion. Yearning. Sensuality. I am the sound of roaring laughter. I am taste. The feeling of sand beneath bare feet. I am movement. Vivid colors. I am the urge to paint on an empty canvas. I am boundless imagination. Art. Poetry. I sense. I feel. I am everything I wanted to be.
Paige Bradley created one of the most striking sculptures I’ve seen in recent times. Her masterpiece, entitled Expansion, is a beautiful woman seeking inner piece but fractured and bleeding with light. “From the moment we are born, the world tends to have a container already built for us to fit inside: a social security number, a gender, a race, a profession,” says Bradley. “I ponder if we are more defined by the container we are in than what we are inside. Would we recognize ourselves if we could expand beyond our bodies?”
amazing use of sculpture, it is beautiful

The costume’s look incredible. I did work experience for the English Royal Ballet’s production, and thought that the costumes for that could not be beat; but this interpretation conveys a completely different aesthetic, allowing both shows to have their own individuality, cannot wait to see it!

Alexander McQueen - “SAVAGE BEAUTY” {Exhibition} #1
his work has inspired a lot of my own; his ability to have used the extremes of design; from the use of classical feminine shapes and aesthetics to the dark ‘savage’ forms that have made Alexander a house hold name. he is sadly missed

Eiko Ishioka (1938 - 2012). Eiko was a designer from Japan. Though the work I am sharing is costumes/fashion related her talents went far beyond just costume design. She dabbled in sets for stage, installation art, and interior design among other things. Her work can be found on-screen in major movie productions or on-stage for plays and musicals. I really enjoy her work because of her strong use of colors and her outstanding play of shapes/materials. Her designs are so simple, but when I look at each piece I can see and feel the emotional response she is trying to get the viewer to experience.
Sadly Eiko passed away earlier this year due to cancer. The world of design lost a truly a great individual. Work of hers floats around the web. Notable movies she was involved with include Bram Stokers Dracula, The Fall, The Cell, and The Immortals.
Her work has inspired me throughout, the innovation in her design, shows her love of architecture, and she is sadly missed
